Twin-shaft Concrete Mixer
Most of our central mix concrete plants adopt the updated version of horizontal mixer, that’s the twin-shaft concrete mixer.
Designed with two shafts, the mixing is more powerful. All the material can get thoroughly and fast mixed.
Compared to the single shaft type, the twin-shaft mixer has a larger capacity to process the ingredients.
Besides, homogeneity is guaranteed with this mixer. Thus it is favored by many concrete contractor.
Drum Type
This is the most traditional type mixer of a central mix concrete plant. The drum-type concrete mixer’s work principle relies on gravity.
The inner blade will lift the material to the preset height, and then they get fall down to form a mixing cycle.
This type of concrete plant once was widely adopted in the concrete career. It’s simple at lower cost.
But the evenness of concrete is not as good as finished by a horizontal one, thus it’s often suitable for those small projects or private use.

This central mixer is equipped with several blades and scraper inside, when the verticle shaft works, all the ingredients will get rotated and revolved.
Thus there’s almost a full mixing inside the machine. All the ingredients get thoroughly and evenly mixed and then become concrete with high homogeneity.
Thus this kind of mixer is always adopted by the large concrete companies. or for some rigid construction projects.

Transit Mix Concrete Plant
Transit mix concrete plant is simply structured. The whole plant is not included a mixing tower and central mixer. After weighing and batching, all the ingredients are discharged directly into the concrete mixer truck.
The whole mixing process will be carried out in the mixer truck. The mixer truck usually adopts traditional drum-type mixer. The mixing speed is slow. And the agitation during the transition will also influence the concrete quality.
And the whole mixing process is difficult to perceive and control in a driving truck. So it is usually used for some small private construction, since the cost will be greatly saved.
Central Mix Concrete Plant
Central mix concrete plant is designed with a concrete mixing tower. The mixer is installed at the center of the tower. All the materials including water, aggregates, powders, and cements are mixed in the mixer.
The central mixer is the guarantee of concrete quality since it has stronger power than a mixer truck to process those material. The mixing tower structure can stablize the mixer to keep the process going steadily.
